The homie Busta Rhymes called me the other day following up on an idea I gave him months and months ago. So long ago that I actually forgot about it. He called me with four very specific words: “Check your inbox, son!†When I opened it, I found song after song of unreleased craziness from Busta and the late, legendary J Dilla. So after a week of figuring out our strategy, it’s done. Mick Boogie + Busta + Dilla = Dillagence. The album of the year…and it’s not even an album!

Torrel Harris Sr., pioneer of the reversible NBA warm-up suit, is the first African-American to be licensed by the NBA and NFL to create fashionable apparel. Recently he teamed up with Japan’s third largest company, Nintendo, to launch the video games giant’s new apparel line, which aims directly for the urban streetwear market. The line debuted last week in New York’s Nintendo World Store to much fanfare…
I can’t knock the guy’s hustle, afterall, there’d be no reversible NBA warm-up suits without him (don’t laugh, yo…I’m serious). Just take this for what it is. In the meantime peep the full lineup here.
I find myself using actual, paper calendars less and less these days. Its kind of crazy when I think about it. I was a good two weeks into November before I flipped the page/month on my desk blotter. Sad. I’m not a total slouch, its just that I find digital calendars to be so much more convenient, and widely abundant (peep: cellphones, computers, iPods, etc). This calendar by Noa Bembibre caught my attention though. I might scoop one up, go back to viewing my days, weeks, and months the old fashion way…on paper.
Its been a long wait, 4 years to be exact, but Freeway is finally back on the scene with his sophomore LP “Free at Last”. Holla at the album when you get a chance, but in the meantime…peep:
