I must admit, I haven’t paid close attention to the sneaker game for some time now. Well, let me rephrase that, I haven’t paid much attention to the exclusive, hype driven, internet-only sneaker game for some time now. I don’t know what happened, I just sort of fell out of touch with things over the past year or so. The scene just got a little too corny, redundant, and way too pretentious for me to handle, I think. Anyhow, I figured it was time for me to catch up on things; so as any young “hypester†would do, I took to the net in search of sneaker news and goodies. In the end I discovered Gourmet|NFN, a company that’s injecting Jordan brand sneaks with a bit of American-Italian flair. While they’re creations may not be the most original, they’ve essentially recreated the famed Jordan XI and VI series using gum soles and canvas, I do find them to be very appealing for some strange reason. I think much of it has to do with the fact that they look like well designed knock off’s, or knock-off’s with an original thought in mind, if that makes any sense to you (I say that with much respect, by the way). Anyhow, Gourmet is currently offering two styles (DESISTO, CEASE) through their exclusive online retailer, Commonwealth. Last time I checked sizes were limited, but hey, you may get lucky. In the meantime, peep the rest of the photos down below:
