Peep today’s top gadget finds after the jump.
1. BluAlert Vibrating Bluetooth Wristband
If bluetooth headsets are a bit too lame for your taste (at least while roaming about in public), the BluAlert Vibrating Bluetooth Wristband might just be the cooler, more discreet alternative that you’re looking for. No hands-free calling capabilities here, but what you do get is a discreet, vibrating pulse on your wrist whenever incoming calls are coming through. Pretty cool. Much like bluetooth headsets, I wouldn’t actually recommend this for all day-everyday use, but given your situation and location you can definitely find a clever reason to use one of these. [Crave]
2. Emotiv’s Brain-Operated Headset
While it may look something straight out of a science fiction flick, this prototype headset from Emotiv Systems may one day give users full mind control over video games. In the current trials it’s already allowing users to move virtual objects on computer screens. Although it’s still in development, a price of $299 has already been set, and the company plans to have it ready in time for Christmas. [Crave]
3. ‘Wedisk’
Even as a diehard Xbox 360 fan I couldn’t overlook these Nintendo Wii inspired usb hard drives. The ‘Wedisk’, as it’s called, is available in 1, 2, 4, and 8Gb models, and is compatible with PCs and Macs. No immediate details on pricing or availability, but these things are sure to move quickly when they hit market. [Engadget]
4. Toy Cloverfield Monster
The ugliest, most destructive monster in recent movie history can now be yours. This 14-inch, battery powered model of the Cloverfield monster makes all the authentic sounds, and comes with its very own ‘parasites’ and severed Statue of Liberty head. Add it to your collection. [Hasbro]
